Time for some more sweet treats for hubby’s lunch box. He’s been very good & hasn’t resorted to those scones or sticky buns (as far as I know!!)
These Oat Chippers aren’t sweet though they do include honey (which can be substituted for brown sugar) and dark chocolate (a little is healthy!) Very easy to make and pretty well no fail 🙂
Ingredients: (to make approx 24)
Mix well in large bowl (or Kitchen Whizz):
- 1/4 c oil
- 1 egg
- pinch salt
- 1/2 c honey (or brown sugar)
- 1/2 tsp vanilla essence
Add and mix again:
- 1/2 c wholemeal flour
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
Finally add and mix:
- 2 c dry rolled oats
- 1/4 c chocolate chips or chopped chocolate
(If the mixture is too runny add more rolled oats).
Drop in teaspoon lots onto baking paper.
Bake at 175 deg C for 10 – 15 mins.
